SEEKING INTERNS

Bethesda, Oklahoma's only center dedicated exclusively to treating, educating, and preventing child sexual abuse, is looking for interns! Here at Bethesda, we believe that internships can be pivotal to one's career--just ask the 5 current Bethesda staff members that began as interns here! Interns have the ability to develop their professional skills while working with one of Norman's oldest nonprofits and truly making a difference in the community. CLINICAL Internships: INTERNSHIP OR PRACTICUM

This position is for Master's level students in counseling, social sciences, social work, or other mental health area of study. The position facilitates the required practicum experience needed for Masters level students to graduate. The intern is trained to conduct intakes, facilitate group sessions, write progress notes, maintain client files, and conduct individual sessions.

Prior to beginning your internship Bethesda will require you to complete a 10-hour online training to become more familiar with TF-CBT

educational Internships: INTERNSHIP OR PRACTICUM

This position is for Bachelor’s level students in a human services/human sciences education program. The position facilitates the Stop, Go and Tell presentations at schools and other agencies. This intern must work well with school staff to reach students with vital information regarding personal space boundaries and to encourage students to report abuse to a safe adult.

administrative Internships: INTERNSHIP OR PRACTICUM

This position is for a Bachelor's or Master's level student interested in nonprofit administration, fundraising, and/or community outreach. The position offers opportunities to gain experience in fundraising and donor relations, event planning, and general administrative duties in a nonprofit agency.
